Brick/Half Drop 
Definition: Printing is the transfer of image/s from one surface to another



Procedure:
  • Select a motif 
  • Rule canvas according to the size motif selected 
  • Use ink pad to apply ink to the motif 
  • Moving horizontally place the motif between the lines drawn for the first design 
  • Re-apply ink to the motif 
  • Place the motif at the centre position directly on the lines 
  • Repeat both design until the paper is completely covered 

Bordering




Bordering 
Definition: Printing is the transfer of image/s from one surface to another
Bordering is a printing technique done on the edge/border of a work of art to frame/border an object.  


Procedure:
  • Select a motif 
  • Rule canvas according to the size motif selected 
  • Use ink pad to apply ink to the motif 
  • Place motif on the canvas in the square close to the edge of the paper 
  • Re-apply ink to the motif 
  • Place the motif in the square next to the previous so that both image will touch 
  • Repeat steps until all the edges are covered with images  

Basket Weave




Basket Weave 
Definition: Weaving is the interlocking of two sets of yarns or other materials to create a web or network.  
Basket Weave this type of weave consist of double threads interlaced to produce a checkered pattern similar to that of a woven basket. 


Procedure:
  • Rule paper with 2 cm border 
  • Rule inside border using 1 cm
  • Cut inside lines to form warps 
  • Cut 1 cm wefts into loom from top right 
  • Weave weft into loom in the opposite direction
  • Continue until the loom is completely weaved  

All-over Touching



All-over Touching  
Definition: Printing is the transfer of image/s from one surface to another.
All-over touching is done by placing a specific colour of paint on the motif of your choice and place it in a specific order touching each other until the paper is completely covered.   


Procedure:
  • Select a motif 
  • Rule canvas according to the size motif selected  
  • Use ink pad to apply ink to the motif 
  • Place motif on the canvas in ruled space 
  • Re-apply ink to the motif 
  • Place motif on the canvas beside image so that they are both touching 
  • Repeat steps until all the area is covered 

Accordion Pleat





Accordion Pleat  
Definition: Tie-dye is a method in which parts of the fabric are tie so as not to absorb the dye when it is immersed in it.


Procedure:

  • Place the fabric on a flat surface 
  • Fold the fabric like an accordion 
  • Tie a string around the ends and centre 
  • Damp the fabric then immerse in the dye bath and leave for 20 minutes 
  • Remove and rinse fabric in cold water until water runs clear 
  • Allow fabric to dry before untying
